First chukkas at Westcroft Park ... within the first two minutes Aria got a ball in the bum and I got a ball in the head. The Coach James said "Go left" ... I did and he bloody well shot me in the head! lol ... My trusty new Instinct Polo Helmet saved the day ... ha ha

My favourite place in the whole wide world!

Spent a week at Polo Valley and came back a ten goal superstar :-) The daily instructional stick and ball and afternoon chukkas certainly improved my game. I loved the polo staff, dogs and ponies ... just like one big polo family. Can I please go live in Sotogrande when I am older?

Raised a few eyebrows today at Blackbushe airport as I flew to Oxford Polo Academy today and on the way back actually fell asleep with air traffic squawking in my ears. Can you see my sticks in the back.

I have now played twice at Oxford, but the weather has been so hot there has been no water for weeks and the grounds are hard - so Oxford has cancelled a few times. I hope I can play there tomorrow as I have made good progress.

Learning the basics

I have been doing lessons with Eddie for a few weeks now and I am also starting to do Sundays at the RCBPC with Raffi. I am a bit wobbly and Raffi has been riding for much longer than me but it is good fun and I am up for the challenge.

I am really enjoying polo. Eddie takes me to do some cool stuff like climbing up and down hills when mum isn't around. (She would get worried). My favourite polo pony is Pedrosa and here is a picture of me on Louisa. (said with my best Argentine accent)

Sundays are fun with Raffi. It was kinda cool when Raffi turned up one week with the same Ariat shirt as me ... then I turned up the next week with a new pair of Casablanca knee pads to match his. We look like a kids polo team already.

Ok ... so I decided to take polo seriously today. I was at RCBPC clubhouse the other day and looked up at my grandfather's trophy board and for the first time, felt I could 'do this' ... I know I have a long road ahead but if I win that trophy ... it means that I get to shake my grandfather's hand. Its gotta be worth a shot!

Time to get kitted out

Ok - so time to get kitted out. Mum took me to Tally Ho, this amazing polo shop near the Berkshire. I got new boots, a red helmet, a red whip, ONA polo gloves, a blue and red Ariat top and a new Argentine belt. I now look like a ten goal polo player!
